Tell us a little about yourself.
To start off with, my name is Haley Tryon. I am a college student in Idaho, but I am originally from Elko, Nevada. I go back for breaks and I hope to go back permanently after I finish school. I am going to school for a bachelors in business administration. I'm not married and don't have any children, but I do have a wonderful boyfriend going on three years now. As for hobbies, I really enjoy the outdoors. I like to swim, walk, hike, and camp, and I like to ride my motorcycle when the weather is warm. I also enjoy reading books. My favorite books are by Dean Koontz, Stephen King, Terry Brooks, and Terry Pratchett. I enjoy cooking and baking, my favorite thing to make is pie.
How long have you been pin-up modeling?
I wouldn't consider myself a pin-up model, or any model really. I would love to be one though. This is only the second contest that I have entered. My first contest was a couple months back, and I was lucky enough to be one of the finalists for that one, so I decided to enter other ones that I came across.
How did you get into it, and what do you like best about modeling?
I got into pin-up modeling because I found a dress that I really liked that was in a vintage style and one day it went on sale, so I bought it. That night, I went to dinner and saw a flyer for the 208 Tattoo Fest pin-up contest, and pictures had to be entered in a week. Earlier, my cousin asked me if I wanted to help him with his photography by modeling for him, so I called him and asked him if he wanted to do these pictures for me and he was delighted. It all just fell into place and happened to work out, but I'm so glad that it did.I would love to delve deeper into the pin-up scene, or modeling in general and I am really glad to have opportunities such as this one that let me do that. My favorite part of modeling is getting dressed up and looking pretty. I love to take the time to fix my hair and do my make-up. It's a lot of fun. It's also a good excuse to buy new dresses.
What would you consider your best feature?
I get a lot of compliments on my hair, so I would consider that my best feature. It's naturally blonde, but I permed it to make it curly.
Who are your pin-up idols? Any favorite models or photographers?
My pin-up idol would have to be Betty Grable because really like the style of her pictures, and she is gorgeous. My favorite photographers are Carol Petrie, who is a photo journalist, with Paint with Light Productions out of Elko, Nevada, and Jerry Moyer with Jerry Moyer Photography out of Boise, Idaho.
What are your top 5 favorite bands?
My favorite bands are AWOLNATION, Nickelback, Puddle of Mudd, Hinder, and Aerosmith.
